What we handle in Bankwest statements

Works with Bankwest Easy Transaction, Qantas Transaction and business account statement PDFs with a text layer. Two-digit statement years are resolved, the running balance Bankwest prints on the wrapped line below a transaction is matched back to the right row, and CARRIED FORWARD page totals are treated as furniture rather than imported.

New — Bankwest support is in beta. We built this from Bankwest’s published statement layout and haven’t yet run it against a real customer file, so it may not match every template. The reconciliation check still applies: if a conversion doesn’t balance to the cent, you get a flagged file and a clear message rather than quietly wrong numbers. Send us a statement that fails and we’ll fix it.

Bankwest statement quirks — handled automatically

The manual fixes other converters leave to you, done for you and then verified against the statement’s own balances.

Balances printed on the wrong line, matched back

Bankwest prints a transaction's amount beside its description but the running balance one line lower, beside "PURCHASE AT 0:00AM". We lift it back onto the row it belongs to, so every row still carries a balance to verify against.

Two-digit years resolved

Bankwest dates rows "06 JAN 18". We resolve the century from the statement period rather than guessing, so a January statement doesn't land in the wrong financial year.

CARRIED FORWARD totals dropped

Each page ends with a carried-forward total. Importing it double-counts the page; we recognise it as furniture and use the last one as the closing balance to verify against.

Wrapped purchase details rejoined

The purchase time and location wrap onto a second line. We fold them into the description instead of producing an empty extra transaction.

Accuracy

Every conversion reconciles — or we tell you loudly

For every statement we check that opening balance + all transactions = closing balance, to the cent. If it doesn’t add up — a dropped row, a wrong sign, a duplicated line — the CSV is flagged with a RECONCILIATION FAILED banner on its first line and we refuse to let you import garbage silently.

No “looks about right”. A conversion either proves itself against the statement’s own balances, or it arrives clearly marked as untrustworthy.

Privacy

Files auto-delete after processing

Bank statements are sensitive. Your PDF is processed in memory and temporary storage only, converted, and deleted immediately after the conversion finishes — success or failure. We keep no copy of the statement, no copy of the CSV, and no transaction data.

No human ever reads your statements. There is nothing to leak because nothing is retained.

Coverage

Australian banks first

Built for Australian statements from day one: DD/MM/YYYY dates, debit/credit columns collapsed into correctly signed amounts, and CSV output in the format Xero’s bank statement import actually accepts (a generic format is available too).

Every Australian bank works, as long as the PDF is the one your bank issued rather than a scan or photo of a printout. Five banks have a parser written for their exact layout; the rest go through table detection, which reads your statement’s own column headings. Both paths get checked against the balances your bank printed — see supported banks.

Simple credit packs

One credit converts one statement. No subscription, no sales calls, no demos — buy credits, convert statements, done. The first three statements of every run are free, so you can check our numbers against yours before you pay anything.
